ASES is the after school program here at OVMS. This is a grant funded program, so is no cost to those who attend. Each day, there are many fun activities available for students to choose from, led by after school staff and teachers.

2024-25 Registration

Sign In
Students must sign in and out every day. They will sign in with our team in front of the Falcon Room, room 310, at our sign in table. Staff will be there to assist with this process.
Sign Out
Students may be signed out and leave any time during the program as needed. To sign your student out in person, you will need to walk on campus to where our sign out table is outside of room 306. Once you arrive, please call or text 619-530-8595. The staff member in the falcon room will receive that call/text and have your student sent from their activity. If you want, you may also call/text your student’s phone and they can let the staff know they are headed to the sign out table to meet you. If they are set up for self sign out on their enrollment form, you wont need to meet them at the sign out table for them to be released.- Drop off is in the gym at the front of the school.
- You do not need to sign your student in, they can sign themselves in. Though, you could choose to sign them in if that’s more comfortable.
- After that, we are no longer in the gym and the gates will be locked. You will need to wait until the gates are unlocked at 8:30 a.m. if you missed drop off time.
- We will have students with us until the start of school, but they may head out for breakfast at 8:40 if they choose. An ASES staff, as well as other OVMS staff, will be in the quad keeping an eye on students

2024-25 Sports Information
Join our dynamic After School Sports Program, where students can engage in a variety of exciting athletic activities designed to promote teamwork, physical fitness, and personal growth. Our program offers a diverse range of sports that cater to different interests and skill levels, ensuring every child finds their passion while developing essential life skills. Oak Valley ASES participates in the below mentioned ports throughout the school year. Students get the opportunity to play with their fiends on a team representing their school and compete against all of the other PUSD Middle Schools.

Flag Football: October – November
Basketball: November – January
Volleyball: January – March
Soccer: March – April
Wrestling: April – May
How to Participate
Students will need to participate in a skills assessment prior to the start of the season. Coaches and staff will select students for the team based on their skill level. If your student doesn’t make the team, they may continue to participate on the practice squad. Students will receive information from the school with information of the time, date and location of each skill assessments a few weeks prior to the start of each sport season.
